Terms Term Position - ends March 31, 2027

Start Date

Requirements Hours – 35 hours per week
Location – Preference given to those living within the CFEK Service Area.
Travel – Access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel is important to this role.

•Diploma or degree in a related field is preferred, equivalent experience will be considered.
•1+ years of experience in community development or community engagement with a focus on project management.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to use databases and CRM or project management systems and interpret data to inform recommendations.
•Proficiency in research and report writing.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders and build effective relationships.
•Process oriented with a strong attention to detail and a focus on improving administrative systems.
•Self-starter with proven ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.

Duties Childcare Program
•Be the first point of contact for this program, responding to queries directed to the program via online forms, by phone and email.
•Co-ordinate business coaches in the program, including assigning coaches to childcare providers, tracking workloads and outcomes and answering questions.
•Project management and project tracking through a customer relationship management (CRM) database, including acting as the direct link to the program for childcare providers, tracking progress as they move through the program to ensure centres are getting the support they need.
•Oversee the development of resource opportunities and share them with program participants.
•Oversee the reporting and impact measurement for the project.
•Manage consent for sharing information for program participants with program partners and funders.
Housing Program
•Be the first point of contact for this program, connecting with nonprofit housing providers across the East Kootenay region and supporting them with their development plans and projects.
•Oversee the development of resource opportunities and share them with housing providers, including linking them with organizations such as development consultants, architects and general contractors.
•Develop resources such as checklists, frameworks and agreements to support nonprofit providers to bring housing to fruition.
•Create relationships with local stakeholders, including municipalities, First Nations, school boards and others who may have available land to contribute and will support housing developments across the region. Connect land holders with nonprofit housing providers as appropriate.
•Assist in the development of training material as well as the organization of training sessions and workshops and provide follow-up to providers.
•Oversee the reporting and impact measurement for the project.
•Assist in the development of a communications plan for this pilot program as well as any knowledge sharing through webinars, reports and presentations
Other Activities
•Support the Community Economic Development Manager with other projects and events as needed, including liaising with stakeholders, organizing meetings and events, producing reports and ensuring the smooth running of all CED projects.
•Support other CFEK departments and projects as assigned.
