Job summary

Acden Environment seeks Class 1/3 Operators to join the waste and recycling services team at CNUL Albian in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This local position features a 7 on, 7 off schedule, with a focus on safe handling, transport, and disposal of waste.

Candidates must hold a valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with Airbrake, maintain a clean driving record, and be eligible for pre-employment testing and site clearance. CSO/BSO/CSTS & OSSA certificates are preferred for this safety‑driven role.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with Airbrake endorsement.
• Clean driver’s abstract.
• Minimum three years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to log Hours of Service per Alberta regulations.
• CSO, BSO, or CSTS & OSSA certificates.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing (safety sensitive).
• Ability to meet physical demands (lifting, bending, standing, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Promote environmental responsibility by ensuring safe waste collection, transport, and disposal.
• Operate on a 7 on, 7 off schedule at CNUL Albian.
• Adhere to Alberta Hours of Service regulations.
• Maintain access and compliance at Acden client sites.
• Log safety documentation and participate in pre-employment clearance testing.

What You’ll Need

• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with Airbrake endorsement and clean driver’s abstract
• Minimum three years of commercial driving experience
• Successful completion of a driver’s evaluation on a manual 18-speed Class 1/3 vehicle
• Eligibility to access all Acden client sites
• Ability to log Hours of Service per Alberta regulations
• Valid CSO, BSO, or CSTS & OSSA certificate
• Ability to obtain clearance on drug, alcohol, hearing, and physical abilities pre-employment testing (safety sensitive role)
• Ability to meet physical demands: bending, twisting, standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling heavy objects
