SCHOOL COUNSELLOR
A professional school counsellor has a significant role to play in the design and delivery of the Comprehensive School Counselling Program. The school counsellor must be a licensed teacher with a graduate degree in counselling. The school counsellor must demonstrate competencies in the areas of knowledge, skill and attitude for Comprehensive Guidance and Counselling.
Qualifications
· A valid Nova Scotia Teachers License;
· Has five (5) years of appropriate teaching experience;
· Has a Masters of Education Degree in Counselling from an accredited university including a school based practicum.
