Job description

Hybrid Role: This position is categorized as hybrid, requiring the successful candidate to report to the Oshawa Elevation Centre/Oshawa Assembly Building a minimum of three times per week.

This high-impact role involves oversight of Oshawa Operations' financial accounting, reporting, and performance, as well as supporting CCA Canada inventory management, freight costs, and accounting functions.

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the CCA Canada Finance FP&A team, interacting directly with Oshawa Operations leadership. Key responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, capital project budget management, and month-end close activities. The role also emphasizes driving structural cost leadership and fostering innovation within internal processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Month-End Close, Budget, Forecast, Financial Reporting
  • Prepare journal entries supporting the month-end close process.
  • Reconcile accounts to support month-end close.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting for Oshawa Operations.
  • Collaborate with Oshawa Operations teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial performance reports, highlighting variances versus budgets and forecasts.
  • Assess KPIs indicating financial health of Oshawa Operations.
  • Manage capital project budgets for Oshawa Operations.
  • Offer insights on key drivers, outlooks, risks, and opportunities.
  • Innovate and improve internal processes, including templates, reports, and procedures.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses and reporting.
  • Structural Cost, Freight, & Inventory
    • Drive cost efficiency initiatives within Oshawa Operations.
    • Analyze monthly freight costs, investigate variances, and identify optimization opportunities.
    • Analyze inventory accounts (raw materials, WIP, finished goods), investigate variances, and identify improvements.
