Job summary

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking qualified candidates for dual teaching positions at E.B. Chandler Junior High School. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Teach English Language Arts and Technology Education to Grade 7 & 8 students.
  • Develop lesson plans and assess student performance.

    • Minimum Qualifications
      - Bachelor of Education Degree, and;
      - Major, Minor, Master's Degree in English or academic equivalent, and;
      - Secondary endorsation;
      - Or deemed qualified by the Teacher Qualifications Chart

    • Minimum Experience

    • Minimum Ability
      Predominately demonstrated through the interview process, the candidate will be assessed on their ability to effectively deal with situations that are likely to arise. External applicants must meet a minimum threshold of 70%.


  • Technology Education Teacher

    • Minimum Qualifications
      - Bachelor of Education Degree, and;
      - Completion of a recognized Technology Education teacher certification program

    • Minimum Experience
      - 3+ years successful classroom teaching experience in Technology Education

    • Minimum Ability
      Predominately demonstrated through the interview process, the candidate will be assessed on their ability to effectively deal with situations that are likely to arise. External applicants must meet a minimum threshold of 70%.
