This is a Full time Regional position serving the Celtic Family of Schools, based in West Pictou. Minimum Requirements o Province of Nova Scotia Truck (Bus) and Transport Mechanic Certificate or enrolled in an apprenticeship program; [applicants must include a copy of Certificate, if applicable]
o Minimum of Grade 12 High School Graduation Certificate or academic equivalent through educational programs such as a Graduated Equivalent Diploma;
o Minimum of three (3) years work experience in the trade (preference for commercial/industrial/ educational settings);
o Must have training or be willing to receive training in applicable safety programs.
o Able to perform duties with minimal supervision;
o Valid Nova Scotia Driver´s License - Class 2 or higher, or willing to obtain such Class.

o Other Assets:
o Ability to perform duties effectively with minimum supervision.
o Must possess or be willing to obtain relevant health and safety courses in First Aid, WHMIS, etc. or other regulatory training courses;
o Must demonstrate competency in computer skills.
o Must be proficient and knowledgeable in diagnostic systems. Additional Assets Qualifications
o Valid Nova Scotia Driver´s license Class 2 or higher, or willing to obtain such Class.
o Province of Nova Scotia Truck (Bus) and Transport Mechanic Certificate, including air brake endorsement or enrolled in an apprenticeship program.
o Minimum of Grade 12 High School Diploma or academic equivalent through educational programs such as a Graduated Equivalent Diploma.
o Minimum of three (3) years work experience in the trade (preference for commercial/industrial/educational settings).
o Must have training or be willing to receive training in applicable safety programs.
