Job summary

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for Casual Bus Drivers to support student transportation in the Burns Lake area, including Decker Lake, Francois Lake, Granisle and Grassy Plains.

This casual position has no guaranteed hours. You will operate school buses on regular routes, transport students for curricular and extra-curricular trips, conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance checks, and maintain positive communication with students, parents, and school

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).
• Valid BC Class 2 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean driving record.
• First Aid Certificate and CPR training.
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with safety procedures.
• Defensive driving training or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience operating Class 2 or higher vehicles in all seasons.

• Maintaining positive communication with students, parents, and school staff
