Job summary

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for casual Bus Drivers to support student transportation in the Burns Lake area, including Decker Lake, Francois Lake, Granisle and Grassy Plains.

This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours. The successful candidate will operate school buses on regular and scheduled routes, transport students for curricular and extra-curricular trips, perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance, and communicate positively with

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).
• Valid BC Class 2 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR training.
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures.
• Defensive driving training or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of successful experience operating Class 2 or higher vehicles in all seasons.

The successful applicant must complete a Criminal Record Check through the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP). Criminal Record Checks Checks through local RCMP detachments will not be accepted.
