Job summary

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for Casual Before and After School Care Workers to support students in the Fraser Lake area (Mouse Mountain Elementary). This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.

The successful candidate will provide care to children aged kindergarten to 12 in a licensed program, under the direction of the District ELCC Principal or school principal, with emphasis on safety and positive guidance.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).
• Completion of the Responsible Adult course, or a combination of courses, of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition.
• Valid Emergency Child First Aid with CPR Certification.
• Valid Food Safe – Level 1 Certificate or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience working in the Education system.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required).
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures.

Responsibilities
