Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and structural systems in our grain processing facility.

Responsibilities :

• Fixing and maintaining equipment like conveyors, elevators, motors, and grain handling systems
• Performing regular inspections to catch issues before they arise
• Troubleshooting electrical stuff (wiring, motors, control panels)
• Helping with installs, repairs, and general upkeep around the plant
• Pitching in on emergency fixes when things break down unexpectedly
• Following safety rules and making sure the work area stays clean and safe
• General cleaning of facility, cleaning, sweeping, garbage, maintaining machinery.

Requirements :

• High school diploma or GED (technical training is a plus)
• A couple of years of maintenance experience, ideally in a plant or farm-type setting
• Comfortable working with tools, mechanical systems, and electrical components
• Able to read manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Welding or fabrication skills? Even better
• Not afraid of heights, tight spaces, or hot / cold conditions
• Team player with a good attitude and solid communication skills
• Willing to work some overtime or be on-call when needed
