Known for its distinctive art collection and renowned dining at the Restaurant, this boutique hotel is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for every guest. They are looking for a passionate and skilled Catering Sales Manager to join their team.

As the Catering Sales Manager, you will report to the Director of Sales & Catering and will be responsible for prospecting, selling, and managing social catering events. From the initial booking through to completion and final billing, this role ensures that all events exceed client expectations and uphold the hotel’s distinguished reputation. The salary is $70K per year plus bonus.

Description

  • Team Collaboration : Work as part of the Catering Team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Sales Enhancement : Up-sell hotel services and products, and suggest suitable events, activities, floor plans, and menus to clients.
  • Client Acquisition & Engagement : Proactively seek new clients while maintaining relationships with existing ones. Ensure successful event outcomes by working closely with clients from arrival to departure.
  • Event Coordination : Organize events with meticulous attention to detail, anticipating client needs and coordinating food and beverage requirements.
  • Site Inspections & Documentation : Conduct site inspections, assist with walk-in inquiries, and prepare accurate contracts, Banquet Event Orders, floor plans, and event resumes.
  • Financial Liaison : Coordinate with the accounting department for accurate billing, credit applications, and deposits.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in a sales or similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • At least 2 years of catering or events management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Sales, Events Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and team-building abilities, with self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.
