Job summary

Sodexo Live! is hiring a Catering Bartender to support our BC Place Stadium operations in Vancouver. The role focuses on setting up and maintaining a professional bar, managing stock, and delivering excellent guest service under high-volume conditions.

You will ensure proper portioning, ID checks, and safe service while adhering to company standards. This position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have previous high-volume bartender experience.
• Good customer service and cash handling skills.
• Grade 12 education is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Setup a portable and stationary bar for operation.
• Open/Close inventory counts.
• Maintain adequate stock levels at all times.
• Balance the bar and ensure proper portion control.
• Check IDs and refuse service when needed.
• Close bar procedures and attend to closing duties.
• Work with limited supervision and respond professionally.
• Know products for stocking and comply with Serving It Right.

Location

We are seeking an experienced Catering Bartender for the BC Place Stadium.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete setup of both a portable and stationary bar for operation.
• Opening/Closing inventory counts
• Maintain adequate stock levels at all times
• Responsible for balancing of the bar
• Ability to perform the following duties
• Proper portion control
• Checking for proper identification
• Refusal of service
• Closing bar procedures
• The ability to work well under limited supervision
• Responding in a professional manner in all situations
• Knowledge of all products for stocking
• Serving it Right a must
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Grade 12 education an asset
• Good customer service and cash handling skills
• Must have previous high volume bartender experience

Other Requirements

• Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
• Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
