Catering Assistant - Barista
Immediate Start, Permanent
We currently have an opportunity for a Barista-trained Catering Assistant to join our busy team. This role will suit a self-motivated individual who can work with minimum supervision. The successful applicant will have good interpersonal and communication skills, and will be open to new learning and ideas whilst being committed to providing outstanding customer service.
As part of our team of Catering Assistants you will gain exposure to all of our dining areas but will be predominantly based in our onsite cafe, The Pavillion. As such, this role requires someone who is used to working both alone and within a team when the situation demands it, covering all areas front and back of house and being a flexible team player willing to support colleagues or cover absence when needed. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Catering Assistant in a similar catering background but this is not essential. It is important that the successful candidate comes in with a hands-on 'can do' approach.
The successful candidate will work 38.75 hours a week over five days, mainly Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of our business, the catering needs can vary but are usually 37 weeks per year mostly during school term time. The café shift runs ideally from 7.00 am – 15.00 pm therefore we desire candidates to be available between these hours.
The rate of pay is negotiable and will be based on experience.
