The Role

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Fleetwood Nautical Campus to cover our evening meal service. This is a key role in delivering a high-quality, value-for-money food and beverage service that supports the wellbeing of our students, staff, and visitors.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the catering unit. Your key duties will include:

  • Preparing and serving drinks, snacks, and beverages in line with Starbucks menus and service standards.
  • Maintaining high standards of food production, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Minimising waste and ensuring accurate documentation of stock and internal monitoring systems.
  • Operating equipment safely and adhering to food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Handling cash in accordance with college financial procedures.
  • Supporting occasional functions or services outside normal working hours.

This is an annualised hours role of 340 hours per year (10 hours per week over 34 weeks).
