The Category Manager - Indirect at Belron Canada oversees procurement activities related to indirect goods and services, excluding direct materials and logistics, with a spend of approximately CA$100M. Responsibilities include managing categories like packaging, chemicals, HR services, marketing agencies, IT, facilities, and more, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization.

The role involves developing sourcing strategies, negotiating supplier contracts, monitoring market trends, ensuring procurement policy compliance, collaborating with stakeholders, managing risks, and driving efficiency and value in indirect procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing and Contract Management : Lead RFPs, negotiate contracts, conduct spend analyses, supervise indirect buyers, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Strategic Supplier Management : Develop category strategies, build supplier relationships, monitor performance, and manage KPIs.
• Category / Market Analysis and Risk Management : Conduct market analysis, identify risks and opportunities, develop contingency plans, and report to senior management.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with internal departments and global teams to align strategies and resolve issues.
• Budgeting and Financial Oversight : Assist in budgeting, perform regular audits, and ensure billing accuracy.
