Job description

WE ARE HIRING! Category Manager (Hybrid– St. Thomas, ON Office)
Build your future with Masco Canada!

At Masco Canada, we’re passionate about delivering innovative solutions and exceptional customer experiences. We’re looking for a Category Manager to join our Category Management team. If you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and are excited to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a core member of the Category Management team, the Category Manager plays a pivotal role in identifying market opportunities, shaping competitive product strategies, and partnering cross-functionally to bring differentiated, high-quality solutions to market. This role works closely with other functions in the organization to deliver products that drive growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The Category Manager owns the end-to-end business performance of an assigned product line or category, including full financial accountability. Success in this role requires exceptional business acumen a deep understanding of how commercial, financial, and operational levers connect to drive results and the ability to translate market dynamics, financial data, and customer insights into sound business decisions that drive revenue growth, manage product lifecycle costs, optimize pricing, and consistently deliver against profitability targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
Strategy & Vision
  • Develop and articulate the product strategy and long-term vision for the assigned category, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and customer needs.
  • Define and drive the overall strategy for the assigned portfolio, including long-term vision, positioning, and investment priorities, sequencing initiatives based on commercial impact, customer value, and strategic fit.
Financial Performance
  • Own the portfolio’s overall financial performance — delivering top-line revenue goals and bottom-line profitability targets by managing levers such as pricing, cost, and mix.
  • Develop and manage pricing strategy, including base pricing and promotional offers. Partner with Finance and Sales to optimize price realization and margin.
Market Insight & Portfolio
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer feedback and insight gathering to identify opportunities and inform business decisions.
  • Manage the product portfolio from concept to end-of-life, identifying opportunities to grow, improve, or rationalize SKUs.
Performance & Leadership
  • Define and deliver KPIs, track performance against targets (revenue, margin, share, etc.), and take corrective action based on insights.
  • Lead or influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in product, category, sales, or marketing management; experience in a manufacturing or branded consumer products environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the product development process, from concept through launch.
Strategic & Analytical Strengths
  • Analytical and strategic thinker, capable of making data-informed decisions.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders and functional areas.
Collaboration & Customer Focus
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a strong sense of market trends and end-user needs.
Execution Mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to balance short-term execution with long-term strategic planning.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — proactively identifying opportunities, taking ownership, and driving innovative solutions that create business value.
EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
  • Competitive Rewards and Compensation
  • Defined Contribution Registered Pension Plan with employer matching
  • Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan (DPSP)
  • Benefit insurance coverage from Day 1, including health, dental, and travel insurance
