About This Role

By joining our Global Procurement & Supply Management team, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of procurement strategies in support of CAE aftermarket simulator installation base for all hardware systems of our simulators.

Responsibilities:

Strategy and Analysis

  1. Develop and implement strategies and plans that align with overall aftermarket business goals and market trends.
  2. Conduct thorough market analysis to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and product performance.
  3. Utilize data analytics tools to track category performance metrics and make data-driven informed decisions.
  4. Identify cost reduction opportunities and strategies across category and value stream, achieve savings, and report on actions.

Supplier Management

  1. Manage supplier relationships, development, and performance.
  2. Regularly evaluate supplier performance to ensure they meet quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
  3. Lead supplier agreements and contract negotiations to optimize value, pricing stability, quality, and manage risk.
  4. Lead supplier negotiations and compliance to optimize value, pricing stability, quality, drive savings and manage risk.

Operational Excellence

  1. Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet demand without overstocking.
  2. Quickly resolve any critical issues related to materials or supply chain.
  3. Support or lead New Product Introduction activities, ensuring all milestones are met and phasing out underperforming ones.
  4. Oversee ad-hoc projects relevant to category strategy.
  5. Track and report key metrics relevant to category and key vendors.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Work closely with the post delivery services team, design engineering, quality, finance, sourcing, supply chain, other GPSM team members, legal, and technical program management teams to qualify new products or projects of high complexity or new designs of existing products and/or obsolescence.

Qualifications:

  1. A University undergraduate degree (such as Bachelor’s and B.Sc.) in an Engineering discipline, Supply Chain, Business administration or a related field of study.
  2. Business experience is an asset, especially if prime degree is in Engineering or Sciences.
  3. 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  4. Knowledge of supply management in a technical project-driven environment.
  5. Knowledge of product lifecycle, category management, and project management.
  6. Negotiation skills and business acumen.
  7. Excellent task and project management skills.
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills and good presentation skills in English.
  9. Experience in writing specific summaries, reports, business letters, and business plans.
  10. Bilingual (French and English).
