Job summary

A community service organization in Canada seeks a Casual Support Worker to provide person-centered support services. About Mountain Plains Community Services Society of the North (MPCSSN)

Established in 1972, MPCSSN is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering diverse community and family-focused programming tailored to the unique needs of Alberta's Northwest region. We collaborate with Child and Family Services, Recovery Alberta and Alberta Human Services to provide comprehensive support services. Our organization is accredited by CARF International and is a proud member of the ALIGN Association of Community Services and the Children’s Welfare League of Canada.

Role

The role of the Agency Support Worker is to provide and help coordinate person-centered support services. As an Agency Support Worker you will be asked to model appropriate behavior and attitudes in a range of settings with a variety of individuals. The role of Agency Support Worker requires that the successful candidate assist persons-served to recognize and discover their individuality and creativity, as well as to act as an advocate on persons-served behalf while maintaining the need for confidentiality.

Experience of Supporting Individuals with FASD, Autism and Communication Challenges, and / Or Youth with Identified Behavioral or Mental Health Challenges.
