The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a positive environment while promoting independence and dignity among those we serve.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to individuals, assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication
Supervise individuals during activities to ensure safety and engagement, offering guidance and encouragement as needed.
Develop and maintain supportive relationships with individuals, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to client care.
Promote social interaction by facilitating recreational activities that encourage participation and enjoyment.
Requirements

Post Secondary diploma for Developmental Services Worker or equivalent in Human Services Field (preferred)
1st year DSW Students may also apply
Personal Support Workers certificate or Equivalent
Valid Ontario Driver’s License (Class G)
Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
