Job summary

Sagkeeng Child & Family Services, Inc. is seeking mature, reliable Casual Support Workers to provide support services for our Children and Families in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The role involves transporting families to visits, supervising visits, and assisting children and families in care.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and strong communication skills, with preferred First Aid/CPR certification. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safe and timely transport of children or families to and from family visits/appointments
• Supervision of family visits, ensuring all are safe
• Provide support to children in care and families
• Detailed note writing and documentation

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum completion of high school; or a combination of education and related experience may be considered

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class 5F Driver's license
• Full access to a safe and insured vehicle; with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability
• Satisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry and Drivers Abstract
• Active cellular phone

SPECIAL SKILLS

• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write short or detailed contact notes
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification preferred

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
Casual Support Workers take on contracts which can be ongoing for weeks. Which means you will have a set weekly schedule up to a specific date.
For example, your schedule can look like the following:
Saturday and Sunday, 4pm - 12am, weekly for 12 weeks.
Once you have completed the contract, you may be offered another.
Casual Support Workers have full control over the contract they accept and hours they work.
