Job summary

Parkland School Division (PSD) is hiring casual Education Assistant positions for the 2026-2027 school year across all PSD locations.

Education Assistants support students with diverse abilities, including autism, behavioral challenges, mental health issues, and physical health concerns, under supervision of teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Child and Youth Care or Education Assistance preferred.
• Experience working with children with communication delays and challenging behaviors.
• First‑Aid Level I and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention certification are assets.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate positive interactions among students, staff, and the community.
• Supervise and monitor student conduct.
• Assist with physical tasks, including lifting and transferring students.
• Support students during break periods and bus arrival/departure.
