The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-orientated professional :

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Stabilization Support Worker assists in the holistic, short-term recovery of mental health clients who are in attendance at the Community-Based Stabilization Unit, by providing a warm, welcoming, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of client's activities of daily living
  • Food preparation and housekeeping
  • Paraprofessional verbal engagement of the client on an individual and / or group basis
  • Providing resources to community supports
  • Provide follow-up within the community as appropriate within the scope of this position description

Qualifications

  • Approved Personal Support Worker Program or equivalent
  • Current CPR
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness or substance use preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Commitment to work days and weekends, twelve (12) hour shifts
  • Possess a valid Ontario driver's license and have unlimited access to a vehicle / 2 million liability insurance; Must provide clean drivers abstract.
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behaviour
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job
  • Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; accountability, integrity, humility, compassion and respect
  • Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hire
