We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team on a casual basis. The nurse will administer infusion therapy for GreenShield-NKS rotating between clinics in the Windsor, Ontario region.


ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
  • Provide exceptional patient and customer service in keeping with GreenShield-NKS Health values.
  • Administer intravenous therapy and monitor patients under the care of a physician.
  • Administer IM/SC injections as ordered.
  • Take appropriate action in situations where the safety and well-being of the patient may be compromised.
  • Adhere to best work safety practices and procedures.
  • Strong commitment to Pharmacovigilance and Adverse Event reporting.
  • Report Adverse Events as needed.
  • Adhere to nursing practices as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Commitment to continuing education.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with IVs.
  • Experience with IV antibiotics and biologics preferred.
  • Experience with Pediatric patient population an asset.
Qualifications
  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Currently registered (or commitment to register) with RNAO or equivalent for PLP.
  • Current BLS required. ACLS an asset.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
  • Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills.
  • Possesses the physical ability to perform the day-to-day duties described in the duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Proficiency in English is required for this position.
