Job summary

The Ridge Meadows Association for Community Living in Maple Ridge is seeking a Casual Residential Child and Youth Care Worker to support children and youth in staffed residential group homes. The position falls under Grid Level 11 of the BCGEU collective agreement with wage ranges of $29.22–$33.54 per hour.

Abundant local work is available with options for part-time or full-time roles. A Diploma or certificate in related field is required, along with NVCI/MANDT training, a BC driver’s license,

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in field related to supporting children with developmental disabilities.
• NVCI or MANDT training.
• First Aid/CPR.
• Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
• Cleared Criminal Record Check.
• MCFD HUB screen and related background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to children and youth in staffed residential homes.
• Work within the Residential Group Homes per BCGEU grid level 11.

Education

Job Description

To provide support and care to Children and youth in a staffed residential resource.

Position Classification: Residential Child & Youth Worker - Grid Level 11 - BCGEU Collective Agreement. Wage rate - $29.22 - $33.54

A diploma or certificate and/or experience in a field related to supporting children with developmental disabilities is required

Specific Requirements

Successful candidates must have or be ready to acquire:

• NVCI or MANDT Training
• Class 5, BC Driver’s License
• First Aid/CPR
• Cleared Criminal Record Check
• Clearance from Physician
• Successful applicant will be required to complete MCFD HUB screen which includes a Criminal Record Check and Prior Contact with MCFD check
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered for this position.
