The Opportunity

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to residents according to medical needs and nursing practice standards. This role supervises and directs Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers.

What Is In It For You

• Coordinate nursing and other services for residents within the neighborhood and with other departments.
• Lead shift reports, ensuring all team members are informed of residents’ status changes.
• Document significant changes in residents’ conditions, ensuring compliance with AgeCare policies and provincial standards.
• Review and process physician orders promptly, communicating any difficulties to the Director of Care/Assistant Director of Care.

What You Will Need

• Strong knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing, including activation, personnel administration, and nursing practices.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, Health Disciplines Act, and others affecting nursing homes.
• Registration and good standing with the provincial nursing registry.
