Job description

Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC) is currently seeking applications for a Casual Receptionist to provide frontline support and administrative services at our corporate office.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Employee Relations & Engagement, the Casual Receptionist is responsible for delivering high-quality customer and client service to the public, TIC stakeholders, and internal staff. This role also provides general administrative and travel coordination support to TIC departments and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for callers and visitors; answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries, and greet and assist visitors and staff.
  • Manage boardroom bookings and meeting logistics, including coordinating refreshments and supplies (e.g., flip charts, markers).
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and parcel deliveries.
  • Maintain and order office supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for staff and management.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support across departments as required.
  • Perform other general office duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High School Diploma (minimum); administrative coursework considered an asset.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in reception or office administration.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities; capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and work ethic.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet use for travel/hotel bookings.
  • Experience working in a culturally diverse setting with cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Fluency in the Tłı̨chǫ language is required.
