About the position

Casual Retail Sales Associates (RSA) are engaged members of the ANBL Retail team who use their customer-first mindset to excel in sales. They bring a strong passion for the liquor industry and enjoy sharing their knowledge with customers to build are strong team players and problem solvers, and act with initiative and good judgement to ensure products are sold responsibly.

A Casual RSA role offers the flexibility to balance work, school, and family obligations, while providing growth opportunities within hours are based on operational requirements to support the team, including days, evenings, and weekends, and there are no minimum guaranteed are known three weeks in advance, with the option to add additional shifts when available.

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering an excellent customer service experience
  • Educating customers on products and making suggestions to maximize sales
  • Processing cash and point-of-sale transactions
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on products and promotions
  • Visual merchandising and store organization
  • Operating a forklift to load and unload trucks in the store warehouse
  • Routine office, clerical, and light cleaning tasks

What do you need to be successful?

  • At least 19 years old and not currently employed by a brewing, distilling, or alcohol-producing company (as per the Liquor Control Act)
  • At least 1 year of sales or customer service experience, previous experience in the alcohol or service industry is an asset
  • Lifting up to 40 lbs to receive and process stock
  • Legally able to work in Canada without sponsorship
  • Ability to work flexible scheduling, including days, evenings, weekends, and short notice call-in as required
