This program operates 7 days a week and candidates needs to be flexible and available for a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, or nights. This includes every other weekend and statutory holidays.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, this position is responsible for regular monitoring and provision of support to clients in the transition from hospital to the community. Duties include monitoring, observing, assisting with and participating in housekeeping, recreational and social activities. Such duties are carried out under the direction of the client or alternate decision maker and in accordance with Client Service Contracts, laws and regulations governing service provision.
Employment Guide
- Some high school education
- Prior experience or knowledge of providing support services for people with disabilities and/or seniors an asset.
- Certification in health and safety and first aid preferred.
- Ability to empathize with people with physical and emotional needs is essential.
- Knowledge of basic math and ability to do calculations and quantity measurements are required.
- Must be able to plan and organize work and perform tasks according to priority.
- Ability to develop supportive relationships and work collaboratively with clients, family members, colleagues, volunteers, and community partners are essential.
- Must be able to take direction and work independently as well as part of a team.
