Job summary

MPA Society is seeking a Casual Mental Health Worker to support clients with mental health needs in a community housing setting in Vancouver. The role involves providing a range of daily supports, advocacy, life skills guidance, and connection to resources to help clients live independently.

The position requires formal training in behavioral sciences or mental health, two years of related experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mental health-related field preferred.
• Two years of related experience or equivalent education and training.
• Valid CPR/First Aid/ Food Safe certifications or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with day-to-day needs and community living.
• Document client needs, progress, and care plans.
• Provide advocacy and connect to resources and programs.
• Support housing searches, tenancy, and transport arrangements.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of housing and programs.
• Coordinate with staff and healthcare providers as required.
