Job summary

Providence Health Care in Vancouver is currently hiring a casual LPN Casting position at St. Paul’s Hospital.

You will join a specialized orthopaedic team providing casting, wound care, and education to patients in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment. Reporting to the Patient Care Manager and working with RN/RPN and physicians, you will support patient recovery and education while upholding PHC’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an LPN program with orthopedics post-basic education.
• Current full practicing licensure with CLPNBC.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe nursing care to an assigned group of patients per established policies and care plans.
• Conducts head-to-toe assessments, monitors signs, and reports to RN/RPN.
• Transcribes orders and documents care.
• Applies splints/casts, removes sutures/staples, and maintains wound care.
• Assists with crutches fitting and patient education.
• Maintains orthopaedic supplies and supports interprofessional team.
