Job summary

Southern Health-Santé Sud in Altona is seeking a Laundry Aide to handle the processing and transporting of soiled and clean linen, and to keep linen and washing records up to date while maintaining the laundry area and equipment in good working order.

The role requires English language proficiency, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, basic computer skills, and flexibility to work days and weekends in a regional health facility.

Qualifications

• Completed Grade 10 education (Manitoba Standard).
• Other combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
• Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.

Responsibilities

• Process and transport soiled and clean linen to the appropriate areas of the facility.
• Maintain linen inventory, washing records and delivery records.
• Keep laundry production/storage areas clean and equipment in good working condition.
• Travel to other regional facilities as the position duties may require.
• May work occasionally evenings and weekends as necessary.
