Job summary

PLEA Community Services Society of BC is seeking a Casual On-Call Intensive Support & Supervision Program (ISSP) Worker for our Vancouver Coastal Youth Services team located in the Sea To Sky region. The proposed start date is August 31, 2026, and BCGEU membership is required.

The ISSP Worker provides one-to-one supervision for youth at medium to high risk of re-offending, addressing complex needs and supporting their reintegration into the community through structured activities and services.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Arts in social sciences or human services or a related discipline.
• One (1) year of recent experience working with youth who are high risk or involved in the criminal justice system, and their families/caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement strategies, activities and interventions for youth aligned with case management objectives.
• Provide intensive goal-focused supervision and support in the community to youth under Youth Court Order.
• Monitor compliance with court-ordered terms and assist with curfew checks and reparative conditions.
• Facilitate access to community resources and transportation to develop educational, personal, social and vocational skills.
• Engage youth one-on-one in recreational activities to build strengths and positive relationships.
