Extendicare is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff in our Canadian long-term care facilities. You will follow infection control policies, assist with transfers, and coordinate with other departments to ensure supplies and equipment are managed efficiently.
Ideal candidates are able to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and comply with safety practices.

Using specified cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing agents ensures clean and safe environment for residents and staff inside and outside of Long-Term Care facility. Adheres to established company policies and procedures regarding infection prevention and control, quality assurance, fire, and safety etc. Participates in staff meetings as assigned, attends in service education programs and completes all mandatory education as assigned. Collaborates with other departments in such tasks as transferring residents, moving, ordering and storing supplies, ordering/maintenance/distribution of furniture and equipment etc.
Comfortable handling considerable heavy lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching and moving equipment, climbing ladders and exposure to biochemical agents and wet floors. Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures. Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening to be provided.
