Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, Facilities Helpers - Arenas are responsible for a diverse range of job activities such as supervising and monitoring facilities, acting as security, performing janitorial duties, keeping records, cashier duties, maintaining ice, and clearing snow.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Grade 10 education
• Availability and dependability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assisgned tasks
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Standard First Aid and CPR
• Janitorial/cleaning experience
• Cashier experience
• Building maintenance; experience working with tools
• Previous experience working in an arena
• Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to speak Inuktitut

Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience may be considered.


Due to the nature of this position, successful candidates would be required to submit a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check, as well as a TB test.
