Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) is seeking a Casual Educational Assistant to join the EA Supply List. This role provides temporary coverage across elementary and secondary programs in English and French Immersion.
The position is 10 months, casual, with potential to apply for permanent or temporary vacancies. Pay is CAD 30.92 per hour, with vacation pay per ESA rules, starting as soon as possible.

The UGDSB is situated on the ancestral, treaty and title lands of two Anishinaabek Ojibwe Nations: the Michi Saagig of the Credit and the Saugeen Ojibway Nation. This land also includes a specified tract of land granted to the Six Nations of the Grand River. These Nations hold legal and specific rights in their respective territories. The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Casual Educational Assistant (EA) . This opening is for a position on our EA Supply List . In this role, you will be responsible for providing temporary and/or short-term coverage for EA employee absences on an as-needed basis in both elementary and secondary English and French Immersion Programs.
All geographical areas of the Board, including North Wellington, Centre Wellington, East Wellington, Guelph, Orangeville, Dufferin County, and Shelburne.
Note: As a Casual Educational Assistant, you may select your preferred work locations within these regions.
While there is no guarantee of hours per week as this is a casual position, a casual employee with full availability could work full-time hours up to 32.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) depending on the Board's needs.
Note: As a member of the EA Supply List, you will have the opportunity to apply for vacant permanent or temporary positions as they become available, with possible consideration over external applicants.
Reporting to the school Principal, the Educational Assistant must possess willingness, along with the physical ability to work with all our students who have diverse needs.
Please note: An original Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) must be provided prior to the commencement of employment (if the successful candidate is external).
