The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a casual Educational Assistant to support students with specific needs in classrooms. Responsibilities include academic support and addressing various needs, while ideal candidates are students in relevant programs. This role offers an hourly wage of $25.24 plus vacation pay.
The Educational Assistant is support staff in classrooms assisting students with specific needs, such as developmental delays, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, behavioral, social, or medical challenges, or in special education classrooms addressing social adjustment, communication, or learning disabilities. Responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will be a student enrolled in one of the following programs (Years 1 to 3): Developmental Service Worker, Child & Youth Care Worker, Social Services Worker, or a related discipline. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, NVCI, Braille, and Signing are assets.
Hourly wage of $25.24 plus 4% in lieu of vacation pay.
