Job description

We are accepting applications for Casual Educational Assistants in all of our communities. Casual positions are on an on-call as-needed basis. A certificate or diploma as an Educational Assistant from a recognized post-secondary institution is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Support instructional, behavioural and social needs of students
• Create and maintain professional and respectful relationships
• Provide support to students and teacher
• Assist students with skills in the areas of communication and language development
• Monitor student conduct and intervene when students engage in challenging behaviour
• Assist teacher with implementing programs to meet students' needs
• Facilitate and encourage positive interactions between students, staff and the community
