Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Georgetown, ON is seeking a Casual Early Childhood Educator/Assistant to support classrooms and families in a home-like setting. Earners will assist with instruction, help maintain child safety, and foster engaging activities.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, plus a Early Childhood Assistant Certification or R.E.C.E. designation, immunizations, and First Aid/CPR. Benefits include a childcare discount and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent required
• Early Childhood Assistant Certification or R.E.C.E.
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local requirements
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
