Job summary

Extendicare's Poseidon Care Centre in Winnipeg is seeking a Casual Dietary Aide to support meal setup, service, and cleanup for residents and guests while upholding safety standards.

You will assist with beverages, salads, desserts, tray delivery, and dining area upkeep, with opportunities to participate in training and orientation of new staff. Prior food service with seniors is preferred; Food Handler's Certificate required; Vulnerable Sector Check within six months is needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Preference for experience in food service with seniors.
• Must possess or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for majority of shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
• Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check within six months.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
