Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Ultrasound program, or recognized equivalent.
• Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
• Current credentialed member of Sonography Canada.
• Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency procedures in accordance with established methods as described in departmental Policies and Procedures manuals, while documenting high quality images. Including but not limited to abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts.
• Experience in musculoskeletal, neurosonography, vascular imaging, as well as assisting in interventional procedures is an asset.
• Operate, troubleshoot and ensure ultrasound, medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner.
• Prepare written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results.
• Ability to work all shifts including standby.
• Demonstrated commitment to be an integral part of the diagnostic imaging team to ensure smooth workflow within the department as well as between the department and other hospital departments.
