Wage: Hourly: $27.24, $27.55, $27.86
Annual: $53,119.90, $53,718.39, $54,322.97

Position

To provide a safe, clean and healthy environment for persons served, staff and visitors of Ongwanada.

Duties
  1. Refinishing and cleaning all carpeted and non-carpeted floors (except cement);
  2. Dusting and damp mopping floors; vacuuming and shampooing rugs and cloth upholstered furniture;
  3. Dusting and washing walls, lights and fixtures, pipes, windows and stairways; Dusting furniture;
  4. Disinfecting of washroom fixtures (toilets, sinks, urinals, change tables and other related items);
  5. Emptying and damp wiping garbage cans, ash trays, recycle containers, compost;
  6. Operating all cleaning equipment;
  7. Ordering and issuing clean linen/removing soiled linen from various areas;
  8. Removal/controlling snow and ice at building entrances/exits;
  9. Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge Required
  1. Minimum Grade 12 diploma preferred
  2. Knowledge of cleaning materials and cleaning methods/routines.
  3. Valid G Driving License with full driving privileges an asset
  4. Ability to work with minimum supervision
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills; good oral and written communication skills
  6. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job and attend work on a regular basis
  7. Experience in operating cleaning equipment and knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) an asset.
