Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Bartender for on-site operations across military messes, golf, curling, and marinas. You will prepare beverages, manage stock, and assist in event setup while building rapport with the military community.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, legal age for alcohol service in BC, and a provincial RSA certification, with cash handling experience and strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in BC.
• Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification required.
• Experience handling cash and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages in bar operations and events.
• Maintain bar stock inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Operate a Point of Sale system and ensure a clean bar area.
• Assist with setup and takedown of social and military functions and ensure compliance with liquor regulations.

THE ROLE

As a Bartender, you provide an excellent customer experience in our military messes, golf and curling operations and marinas. During big events to every day moments, you will build a rapport with the military community and get to experience various military traditions.

The Bartender will provide a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set-up and take down of social and military functions. You will operate a Point of Sales system, provide a clean bar area and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.

Qualifications Needed

Education, Certifications and Licenses

• High school diploma
• (OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience)
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in BC
• Must possess a Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification

Experience

• In serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
• In cash handling

Competencies

• English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset
