Palliser North area school at Horizon Leadership Academy invites casual Arabic & Islamic Studies instructors to supervise and instruct religious language in the Tahfeeth program under the direction of the school Principal. Qualifications include a Bachelor or Master in Arabic/Islamic Studies; prior experience is an asset.

A successful Criminal Record Check is required, and candidates should be patient, flexible, and community‑minded.

The successful candidate’s will be responsible for supervision and instruction of religious language in the Tahfeeth program under the direction of the school Principal.

Qualifications for a Casual Arabic & Islamic Instructor include a Bachelor Degree, or Master's Degree, in Arabic/Islamic Studies. Building a strong rapport with students is key to a successful career as an Arabic & Islamic Instructor. Previous experience as an Arabic & Islamic Instructor is considered an asset.

Experience & Qualifications:

• MUST have eitherBachelor Degree, or Master's Degree, in Arabic/Islamic Studies;
• Previous experience as an Arabic & Islamic Instructor and asset;
• Successful Criminal Reference Check, including vulnerable sectors (within 3 months of contract start date).

Arabic and Islamic Instructors support the Principal in fulfilling the mandate of the school through the promotion of Islamic values and beliefs. The Principal is the direct supervisor and determines the Instructor's responsibilities using the list as a guide.

In order to maintain a safe and secure working environment, applicants new to The Palliser School Division must provide:

• Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector check from Local Police Service or RCMP detachment;
• Social Insurance Number (SIN) card or document issued by Service Canada; SIN card/document must be in current legal name. Name on SIN card/document must match your Government Issued photo ID and Criminal Record Check;
• Government issued ID - valid driver's license, valid passport or Nexus card, and proof of Canadian citizenship.
