A day in the life of a Cashier: As a customer, you understand the importance of helpful service. The first impression shoppers get at our stores is crucial for building loyalty. Therefore, fast, accurate, and friendly checkouts are vital. Full training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold and comply with company procedures, standards, and policies
• Greet customers politely and friendly
• Demonstrate superior customer service in line with Safeway’s programs
• Process payments via cash, cheque, credit card, gift card, and debit
• Wrap and bag merchandise
• Balance and reconcile cash at shift end
• Maintain cleanliness of check stands
• Stock products in check stand area
