The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for casual Cashier Receptionist opportunities in the South Cowichan Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Administration & Facility Booking Coordinator, the Cashier Receptionist is responsible for the reception duties within the Kerry Park Recreation Centre and Shawnigan Lake Community Centre. This includes meeting and greeting the public, answering telephone and in-person inquiries, routing information, and performing a variety of other tasks such as program registration, and admission sales.

This casual opportunity has no guaranteed hours of work. Due to the nature of this casual work, it will be necessary to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, and weekends, and will include shifts at Kerry Park Recreation Centre and Shawnigan Lake Community Centre.
This regular part time opportunity is unionized (CUPE Local 358) with a wage range in three steps $25.59 - $26.28 - $27.07 per hour (2025 wage rates),plus 6% pay in lieu of vacation, 6% pay in lieu of benefits and 2.5% pay in lieu of statutory holidays.
