Job summary

RONA is seeking a store associate to greet customers, handle transactions, and keep the checkout area orderly at our Calgary location.

You will balance cash at shift end, follow loss prevention and health-and-safety policies, and support daily store operations. The role suits someone with strong customer service, attention to detail, and the stamina to stand for long periods, with occasional outdoor duties.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to resolve a variety of issues quickly and efficiently.
• Attention to detail.
• Comfortable standing for long periods, and occasionally working outdoors.
• Experience with cash register systems (asset).

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage with customers in a courteous manner
• Process transactions precisely and accurately
• Keep all checkout work stations clean and uncluttered
• Create and balance the cash report at the end of each shift
• Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures regarding loss prevention as well as health and safety
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
