Shoppers Drug Mart Kensington is seeking a Part-Time Cashier. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, customer service-oriented, and interested in working for an organization that promotes from within.

Summary:

Maintain excellent customer service and a clean checkout area.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:
   • Provide excellent customer service and engage positively with all customers.
   • Maintain a neat and organized checkout area.
   • Greet customers warmly.
   • Scan or manually enter product data accurately.
   • Handle cash, coupons, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum points accurately.
   • Ask customers for their PC Optimum Card during transactions.
2. Merchandising:
   • Ensure proper documentation for receipts and returns.
   • Maintain merchandise areas (facing, signing, labeling, etc.).
3. Loss Prevention:
   • Follow loss prevention standards.
   • Control cash, lottery, and stamp inventory.
4. General:
   • Present a professional image according to uniform policy and dress code.
   • Follow health and safety regulations.
   • Adhere to store policies and procedures.
   • Maintain housekeeping and store image standards.
   • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to balance teamwork and efficiency.
• Organized and neat.
• Efficient in processing customer transactions.

Experience:

• Strong computer and register skills.
• Well-organized with good record-keeping abilities.
• Detail-oriented.
