Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a customer-focused associate to join our Saskatoon store. You will provide excellent service, greet customers, and ensure accurate scanning and cash handling at the checkout while maintaining a neat and organized area.

You will also support merchandising, loss prevention, and adherence to store policies and health/safety standards, contributing to a positive shopping experience for our community.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and engage with all customers.
• Keep checkout area neat and organized.
• Greet customers with a warm demeanor.
• Scan or enter product data accurately.
• Accurately handle cash, coupons, lottery and PC Optimum transactions.
• Ask for PC Optimum card during each transaction.
• Maintain proper documentation for receipts and returns.
• Merchandise and maintain designated areas (facing, signing, labeling).
• Follow loss prevention standards and controls on cash, lottery and stamp inventory.
• Present a proper image in uniform and adhere to dress code.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and store policies.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and store image.
• Perform other duties as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

• Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all customers
• Maintains a neat and organized checkout area
• Greets all customers and displays warm demeanor
• Accurately scans or enters product data
• Accurately accounts for cash and coupon, lottery, and PC Optimum
• Asks for customer’s PC Optimum Card during each transaction

Merchandising

• Ensures proper documentation completed with respect to customers receipt and return of goods
• Merchandises and maintains designated areas (i.e., facing, signing, labeling, etc)

Loss Prevention

• Ensures loss prevention Standards are followed
• Controls cash, lottery, and stamp inventory

General

• Presents proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines
• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all store policies and procedures
• Ensures the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained
• Perform other duties as required
