SUMMARY:

• Maintain excellent customer service and a well-organized checkout area

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

• Provide excellent customer service and engage positively with all customers
• Maintain a neat and organized checkout area
• Greet all customers with a warm demeanor
• Scan or manually enter product data accurately
• Accurately handle cash, coupons, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum transactions
• Ask customers for their PC Optimum Card during each transaction

MERCHANDISING:

• Ensure proper documentation for receipts and returns
• Maintain designated areas through facing, signing, and labeling

LOSS PREVENTION:

• Follow loss prevention standards
• Control cash, lottery, and stamp inventories

GENERAL:

• Present a professional image according to uniform and dress code policies
• Comply with health, safety, and store policies
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good planning, judgment, and decision-making skills
• Ability to balance teamwork and efficiency
• Organized and neat
• Efficient in processing customer transactions

EXPERIENCE:

• Strong computer and register skills
• Well organized with good record-keeping abilities
