Job summary

RONA is seeking a customer-focused store associate to greet customers, handle transactions accurately, and maintain a clean, organized checkout area. You will balance cash, follow loss prevention and safety rules, and support other tasks to keep the store running smoothly.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to resolve a variety of customer issues quickly and efficiently.
• Attention to detail in handling transactions and cash.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and occasional outdoor work.
• Experience with cash register systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage with customers in a courteous manner.
• Process transactions precisely and accurately.
• Keep checkout stations clean and uncluttered.
• Create and balance the cash report at the end of each shift.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention, as well as health and safety policies.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.
